Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Toduce Mouton, 89, who passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:30 am until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Toduce worked for Cecilia Lumber Company for many years prior to his retirement. As a pastime he enjoyed going dancing, fishing, gardening, and visiting with family and friends. He was a devout Catholic and tried very hard to attend his weekly Masses to pray for himself, his wife, and others who needed prayers of petition. Although Toduce and Rita never had children, he had many nieces and nephews whom his regarded as his grandchildren. He was very proud of his age and he loved celebrating his birthday with the biggest cake that could be found and wanted to share it with everyone at the nursing home. Toduce will be remembered for those "Dickies Overalls" that he wore so proudly daily and also for being very meticulous about the upkeep of his home, yard, and his vehicle.

He is survived by his brother, Regis Mouton; his nieces, Barbara Melancon of Breaux Bridge, Cheryl Overmier of Lafayette, and Gloria Frederick and husband, Daniel of Breaux Bridge; nephew, Easton Mouton and wife Elaine of Parks; his sister-in-law, JoAnn B. Courville of Breaux Bridge; and his godchild, Aaron Babineaux.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Belaire Mouton; his parents, Francis and Antoinette Duplechien Mouton; his brother, Joseph Terville Mouton; and a nephew, Bobby Mouton.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Frederick, Joshua Frederick, Caleb Frederick, Allen Girard, Bailey Borel, Cole Borel, and Quentin Huval.
Honorary pallbearer will be Easton Mouton.
