GENE PELLERIN

A life-long resident of Breaux Bridge, Gene is the president of Pellerin Funeral Homes and is responsible for the firm’s overall operations.

Gene graduated from Breaux Bridge High School in 1982 and received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 1986. He then attended Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, where he graduated as salutatorian in 1988. Gene became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in January 1989.

A member of the St. Martinville Rotary Club, Gene serves on the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association as a member of its legislative committee. He is also a policy board member representing Louisiana in the National Funeral Directors Association.

In December 2004, Governor Kathleen Blanco appointed Gene to serve on the Louisiana State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.

Gene and his wife, the former Susana Diaz of Victoria, Texas, have two children – Alexandra and Paul.


FRANK PELLERIN

A native of Breaux Bridge, Frank serves as the secretary-treasurer of Pellerin Funeral Homes. He is the president of Pellerin Life Insurance Company.

After graduating from Breaux Bridge High School in 1983, Frank received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 1987. He has been a licensed funeral director since September 1988.

Currently, Frank is a member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, and the Louisiana Insurers’ Conference, where he was a member of the board of directors from 1992 to 2004. He served as president of the Louisiana Insurers' Conference in 1997 and again in 2003.

In addition, Frank is a member and past president of the Breaux Bridge Kiwanis Club. He served on the boards of the Breaux Bridge Area Chamber of Commerce and the Breaux Bridge Area Youth Sports, Inc., where he also acted as president. Frank was also a member of the City of Breaux Bridge Parks and Recreation Commission.

He has two children, Ainsley and Taylor.


PATRICK J. MENARD

Patrick is a native of Rayne, Louisiana and a 1978 graduate of Rayne High School. He began his career in the funeral industry after graduating from Houston’s Commonwealth College of Science in 1987. He has been employed with Pellerin Funeral Homes since 1987, where he currently serves as the General Manager.

Patrick is a member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, and a past governor of the Southwest Funeral Directors Association.

He presently serves as the liturgical commission and director of music at St. Bernard Catholic Church. As a charter member of Chorale Acadienne, Patrick performs as a baritone soloist and has traveled internationally. Because of his ability to sing in French, the Cajun people have developed a fond appreciation for Patrick and his talents.

MICHAEL BONIN

Born and raised in Kaplan, Louisiana, Mike is a graduate of Kaplan High School and McNeese State University. A licensed embalmer and funeral director since 1971, he has been employed with Pellerin Funeral Homes since 1980. Mike is married to the former Myrna Hollier with whom he has four children: Jason, Kelli, Michelle, and Jacques; and two grandchildren.


JAMES ALLEMOND

Originally from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, James moved to New Orleans in 1991 to pursue a career as a funeral director. While working toward his mortuary science degree from Delgado Community College, he interned at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, where he received much of his experience. James, now a licensed funeral director and embalmer, returned to his hometown in 1995 to begin work with Pellerin Funeral Homes.

Currently, James is a member of the Southwest Louisiana Funeral Directors Association, the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Directors Association.

James and his wife Jackie Penn Allemond are members of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. They have one daughter, Angelle.



ANITA MOAK

A native of New Orleans, Anita has lived in many southern states, as well as states in the New England region. Anita attended Delgado Community College and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is continuing her education by studying psychology at Thomas Edison College. She is a licensed funeral director and embalmer, a Notary Public, and Chaplain. Anita has also helped create an organization for children with rare disorders and worked in retail management for several years.


George King

A native of Port Arthur, George began his career in funeral service at the age of 16, and is a 1981 Salutatorian graduate of Commonwealth College of Sciences, in Houston, TX, after which he received his license. He worked in New Iberia for a few years, and then in the Port Arthur/Groves area for 17 years, having moved to Abbeville in 2001. In 2004, George received his Certified Funeral Service Practitioner certification. He has been active in many civic organizations throughout his career including Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and others. George is also active in the Southwest Louisiana Funeral Directors Association.

Married to Angela Dufour King, together they have three children, Candice, Anthony, and Nicholas. George loves spending time with his family and friends, and looks at funeral service as a “calling”, not just a job. “Being there for families and helping them when they need it the most is what’s most gratifying to me.”

Angie King

The daughter of James and Lucille Castille Dufour, Angie was born in Port Arthur, TX. She is a 1984 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2000. Angie’s knowledge of funeral service goes beyond her education. Her husband, George King, has been a practicing Funeral Director since 1981 and both have joined the Pellerin Funeral Home team in 2006. Together they have three children, Nicholas, Candice and Anthony. Angie is also a member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association. She enjoys spending time with her family and vegan cooking. “Funeral arrangements are among the most difficult discussions any of us may ever have and making this process more comfortable to people has given my life purpose…making a difference in someone’s life. That’s what it’s all about”. Angie.


DEBBIE GAUTHIER

A life-long resident of Breaux Bridge, Debbie graduated with honors from Breaux Bridge High School in 1980. After graduation, she worked in the banking industry for fifteen years, while completing several American Institute of Banking courses at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has been employed with Pellerin Funeral Homes since April 1996, serving as the family assistance coordinator. In August of 2006, she will begin studies to become a licensed funeral director.

Debbie and her family are parishioners of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where she was a member of the parish council, acting as the finance commissioner and parish life commissioner. Debbie also helped organize St. Bernard’s church fair and served as its auction chairman. In addition, she assisted in coordinating and organizing the St. Bernard Church Children’s Mass, and has served as co-coordinator.

A very active parent at St. Bernard Elementary School, Debbie is a past member of the St. Bernard School Foundation Board, where she served as secretary. For several years, she has assisted and chaired Grandparent’s Day, along with chairing and co-chairing the school’s auction. In May 2001, Debbie was awarded the St. Bernard School Volunteer of the Year Award.

Debbie resides in Breaux Bridge with her husband and son.

SHELBADEAN GUIDRY

Better known as Shelba to family and friends, Shelba is a native of Breaux Bridge, graduating from Breaux Bridge High School in 1977. She has worked as a bookkeeper for 28 years and has been employed with Pellerin Funeral Homes, Inc. since 1990. Shelba presently serves as comptroller for Pellerin Funeral Homes and Pellerin Life Insurance Company.

When not spending time with her family, Shelba is active in the St. Bernard community. She serves as president of the St. Bernard Catholic School Parents Education Partnership Organization and has been a co-director of the annual St. Bernard School Symposium. Shelba is also a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church Adult Choir, serving as a cantor.

Shelba has also been involved with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, Louisiana, where she was a member of its church choir and acted as a youth minister to the church’s younger parishioners.

In addition, Shelba has volunteered with the Cajun Christmas Bayou Parade since its inception. She also served as a mentor to students at Breaux Bridge Senior High School.
Shelba resides in the Breaux Bridge area with her husband and daughter.

MIRANDA THEVENET

Miranda graduated from Breaux Bridge High School in 1981 as an honor graduate and has been working with the Pellerin Companies since 1985. She began as a secretary, and currently serves as the office manager.

Taking an active part in her children’s sports, Miranda has been a part of the Breaux Bridge High School Lady Tigers Booster Club, serving as secretary-treasurer for three years while her daughter played volleyball and softball. She continues to follow school athletics, as she now attends her son’s baseball games.

Miranda and her husband, along with their children, are parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, Louisiana, where they make their home. They enjoy spending their free time with family and friends.
