New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 13, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Amparo ""Mary"" Fremin, 62, who died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in a New Iberia Hospital. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. A native of Laguna, Philippines, Mary has been a U. S. Citizen for over 33 years. She worked for Cypress Bayou Casino, since it opened. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Michael Saunders and wife Sheela of Lake Charles, David Saunders and wife Kelley of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Jennifer Saunders of New Iberia; brother, Freddie Dimaranan of Los Angles, CA; sister, Delen; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanito and Virginia Dimaranan. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 12, 2007, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
