Annette Babineaux

December 31, 1934 — January 29, 2012

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Annette Guidry Babineaux, 77, who passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Fr. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Nell Rabeaux. Gift bearers will be Judy LeGrand, Hope Dias, and Lydia Guidry, and Etta Amedee will serve as Eucharistic Minister. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Annette was retired from the banking industry, where she worked for over 40 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson - often volunteering her time to count the collection money every week, she baked sweets for the Altar Society, and lead the Rosary at the Sacred Heart Chapel in Butte La Rose. Annette was very charitable with her time - she did everything for everyone, even those she did not know. She checked the funeral home web-site on a daily basis to see if there was anyone she knew who had passed away, so that she could visit the families to offer her prayers and condolences. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Boudreaux and her husband, Calvin; her grandson, Travis Boudreaux and his wife, Laurie, all of Breaux Bridge; and her pet, Bella, who was her 'Little Buddy.' She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Babineaux; her parents, Lenny and Mozella Melancon Guidry; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Boudreaux; one sister, Genevieve Belaire; and one brother, Roy Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited by Fr. Keith Landry at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The family would like to extend their heartfelt and special thanks to Dr. Michael Cain, the staff of The Cancer Center of Acadiana, and the Oncology staff on the 9th floor at Lafayette General Medical Center, for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Mrs. Babineaux during her time of need. You will always remain in our thoughts and prayers for everything you have done for her and our family. Pallbearers will be Travis Boudreaux, Perry Belaire, Ken Guidry, Gus Guidry, Clint Guidry, and Dwayne LeGrand. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Hendersonis in charge of arrangements.
