Belzire Gravouilla

BreauxBridge - At the age of 88, Belzire Hebert Gravouilla passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab. She was a native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and a retired beautician and homemaker. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited by Clifford Hebert at 7 p.m. on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, with Fr. Paul LaFleur officiating at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Shirley Robert. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. She is survived by her four children: son, Thomas Gravouilla and his wife, Eva, of Lafayette; three daughters, Linda G. Broussard of Lafayette, Laura G. LeBlanc and her husband, Curtis, of Breaux Bridge, and Gale G. Smith and her husband, Avery, of Baton Rouge; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren: Naomie Broussard; Tyler L. Broussard and his wife, Nichole, and their two sons, Grant and Gavin, of Lafayette; Bryce LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; Kara LeBlanc of Dallas, TX; Christina L. Selder and her husband, David, and their three daughters, Maya, Alyssa, and Kaitlyn, of La Mesa, CA; Andrew S. LeBlanc of Seattle, WA; Mia Gravouilla of Scott; Leslie A. Gravouilla of Baton Rouge; and Macy J. Gravouilla of Lafayette; her brother, Jack Hebert; and sister, Mary Rose Castille. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ivan John Gravouilla and Wilton Menard; her parents, Edith Webre Hebert and Joseph Hebert Jr.; her son, Lawrence Gravouilla; her brothers, John, Jim, George, Rufus, Joseph, and Isaac Hebert; and her sisters, Lillian Hebert, Janet Jane Hebert, and Mary Jane H. Latiolais. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews for her sense of humor and the Black Cat Clock with rhinestone eyes that moved. The family would like to thank the caregivers at St. Agnes, Hospice of Acadiana, and Dr. Warren Degatur, for the care and kindness given to our mother. Special thanks to Dr. Deidre Stelly, for all the years of personal care - you made our mother feel special. Pallbearers will be Thomas Gravouilla, Curtis LeBlanc, Jack Hebert, Tyler Broussard, Hubert Hebert, and Clifford Hebert. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryce LeBlanc.
