Breaux Bridge, LA - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, LA, for Charles Laverne "Chuck" Carter, 40, who passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Breaux Bridge. Graveside rites will follow at 4 p.m. at McKnight Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Chuck was avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and L.S.U. Football. He enjoyed shooting pool with his friends, riding horses, cooking for his friends and family, playing with kids, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife of 17 years, Gloria. He is survived by his wife, Gloria E. Carter, of Breaux Bridge; one son, Daniel Seth Carter; two daughters, Lindsey Marie Carter and Hannah Arlie Rene Carter, all of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Dorothy M. Carter, of Epps, LA; two brothers, Donnie Moore, of Pioneer, LA, and Jerry Moore, of Batchlor, LA; three sisters, Gail McKee, of Wisner, LA, Tammy Carpenter, of Breaux Bridge, LA, and Mary Hughes, of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Carter; a brother, Joe Daniel Carter; and a sister, Linda Campbell. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Shannon Theriot, Brian Theriot, John Theriot, Michael Castille, Damion Thibodeaux, and Robin Henrich. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Lee.
