Later he enlisted in the Louisiana National Guard. Clayton was blessed with many friendships throughout his life. It was his career opportunities which afforded him this treasure. Clayton coached boys and girls at Evangeline Little League for several years. He was a former member of the Mount Carmel Cub Backers, Optimist Club and the CHS Panther Club. As hobbies he enjoyed cooking, fishing and woodworking. Clayton was talented in many ways, but art was his passion.
