St. Martinville - Craig Baudoin, 47, of St. Martinville, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a .m., on Friday, May 20, 2011, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville officiated at the funeral Mass and Father Kenneth Bienvenu served as Concelebrant. Readers were Megan Simon and Jenny Miller. Gift Bearers were Amiee Baudoin, Desiree Girouard, and Conner Durand. Entombment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Craig was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his passion and love of cooking. He was the owner of St. John Restaurant in St. Martinville, and a member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association and the St. Martinville Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his wife, Annette Durand Baudoin, and two children, Aaron Baudoin and Amiee Baudoin, of St. Martinville; his parents, Roland and Beulah Baudoin of Lafayette; five sisters, Cathy Langlinais and her husband, Perry, Jenny Miller, Judy Baudoin, Lorraine Baudoin and her companion, Randy Gilbert, of Lafayette, and Andrea Gibson and her husband, Richard, of Stone Ridge, NY; two brothers, Chris Baudoin and his companion, Michelle Isbell of Lafayette, and Jody Baudoin and his wife, Ann, of Abbeville; his sister-in-law, Martha Baudoin of Abbeville. He is also survived by his wifes parents, Cliff and Suzanne Durand of St. Martinville; and his wifes siblings, Cliff and Connie Durand of Baton Rouge, Jackie and Mark Simon of Youngsville, Charles and Hope Durand of St. Martinville, Barry and Katrina Durand of Northport, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ulysse and Eve Baudoin; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Amiee Pellerin; his brother, Doug Baudoin; his brother-in-law, Marshall Miller; and his nephew, Daniel Bourque. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers were Cliff Durand, III, Charles Durand, Aaron Baudoin, Jody Baudoin, Kenny Binnings, and Jeremy Chataignier. Honorary Pallbearers were Chris Baudoin, Perry Langlinais, Richard Gibson, Barry Durand, Randy Gilbert, and Mark Simon. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and staffs of Lafayette General Medical Center and Tulane Medical Center , for the compassionate care and attention given to Craig.
