Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm, on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Debbie Ann Theriot Rebert, 52, who passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am on Thursday and continue until 2:30 pm on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Lawrence Abara will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Lauren York Theriot and gift bearers will be her grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Debbie, a self-taught musician, was a singer and songwriter whose career began at the young age of 4 when she first began singing on-stage, alongside her father, Dunice Theriot, Sr. She loved composing and writing music, singing, and playing the piano, which she taught herself to play. She was a member of the Louisiana Womens Music Hall of Fame. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by two sons, Ray Rebert, Jr. and wife, Holly, of Breaux Bridge and Terry Rebert of Cecilia; two daughters, Heather Rae Rebert Smith and husband, Rocky, II, of Cecilia and Kali Rae Rebert of Breaux Bridge; her mother, Jeanette Theriot Courville and her husband, Rogers, ;of Henderson; two brothers, Dennis Paul Theriot and wife, Juanita, of Breaux Bridge and Dunice Paul Theriot, Jr. and wife, Lauren York Theriot of Richards, TX; two sisters, Emilean Theriot of Breaux Bridge and Wanda Theriot Olivier and her companion, Keith Courvelle, ;of Catahoula; and six grandchildren, Terry Rebert, Jr., Bailey Rae Savoy, Braygon Rebert, Layke Rebert, Raynie Smith, and Rocky Smith, III. She is preceded in death by her father, Dunice Paul Theriot Sr.; her husband, Ray Joseph Rebert, Sr.; and a brother, Terry Paul Theriot. Pallbearers will be Ray Rebert Jr., Terry Rebert, Paul Theriot, Chayce Gobert, Keith Courvelle, and Rogers Courville. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Theriot and Ronnie Courville.
