New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Deborah LeBlanc Guilbeau, 60, who was taken to heaven on Friday, November 25, 2011 in Broussard. Interment will be at a later date. Rev. Mark Derise will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM . Born on April 12, 1951 in Patoutville, Debbies love of life were her grandkids. She was a wonderful nurturer, and spent her free time in her craft room working on scrap books, sewing, and other crafts. Her three grandchildren were her eyes. She never knew a stranger. Debbie worked for over 38 years for Dr. N.C. Boudreaux and for his son, Dr. Stephen Boudreaux. She is survived by her husband, Willie Guilbeau, Jr., of New Iberia , and their sons, Phillip Guilbeau and wife Nicole of New Iberia, Jerrod Guilbeau, and friend, Traci Spell of New Iberia . She also leaves behind her three grandsons, Alex Guilbeau, Mason Guilbeau, and Austen Guilbeau; godchildren, Jennifer Barras, Jenny Doughty, Jeff Raegan; nephews and nieces, Matthew, Terri, Gene, Jenny, Missy, Tye, and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Marie Breaux LeBlanc; her sister, Jeanette Decou, and her husband, Russell Decou; father-in-law, Willie Guilbeau; mother-in-law, Hazel Bienvenu; and her best friend, Eva Prejean. Pallbearers will be Phillip Guilbeau, Jerrod Guilbeau, Ray Stelly, Irvin Derouen, Russell Guilbeau, and Matthew Decou. Debbies grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
