Denis Cormier

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 30, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Denis Joseph ""D.J."" Cormier, 79, who died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at LPAC of Acadiana in Lafayette. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 - Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Cormier was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. ?He retired from Gulf as a brick layer. ?He was a member of the Riflemen's Association and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, while residing in Groves, TX. Survivors include his wife, Emarite Barras Cormier of Breaux Bridge; and his brother, John L. Cormier of Breaux Bridge. His nephews John L. Cormier, Jr. of Breaux Bridge, Anthony J. Cormier of Breaux Bridge, and Michael W. Cormier of England. ?Several nieces and nephews by marriage and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denis and Edith Broussard Cormier; Niece,Patricia Cormier Martin. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 AM till 10:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2006 ??and continue at 8:00 AM, Monday, January 30, 2006 until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2006. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
