Dorothy Olivier

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 19, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Dorothy ""Dot"" Cecile Olivier, 84, who died Monday, May 16, 2005 at The Heart Hospital of Acadiana in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Miss Olivier was a member of the Altar Society at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church and also served in the adoration chapel. ?She was a patron of The Opera House of St. Martinville. Survivors include her sister, Marcelle O. Bienvenu of St. Martinville; her sister-in-law, Roberta M. Olivier of Thibodaux; fourteen nieces and nephews, thirty-eight great nieces and nephews and thirty great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Louisette Olivier; two brothers, Nolan L. Olivier and Albert G. Olivier, Jr.; four sisters, Hazel O. Fournet, Theresa O. Bienvenu, Loula Mae ""Deg"" O. Gauthier, and Dolores O. Cancienne; and one great niece, Stephanie C. Herbsleb. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8 AM ~ 9 PM on Wednesday and continue at 7 AM on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Beau Fournet, Billy Ransonet, Wayne Bienvenu, Rodney Bienvenu, Pierre M. Olivier, and Jeff Delhomme. The family would like to extend special thanks to Venessa Landry and Mary Andrus for their loving care.
