Edward Arnaud Sr.

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Edward Arnaud, Sr., 82, who died Monday, January 23, 2006 at his residence. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Arnaud loved gardening, along with raising chickens, guineas and quail. ?He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife, Bernice G. Arnaud of Arnaudville; three daughters, Lee Anna Berard and her husband, Al of Breaux Bridge, Bessie Jane Lanclos and her husband, Kenneth of Cecilia, and Debbie A. Carroll and her husband, George of Lafayette; one brother, Franklin Arnaud of Arnaudville; two sisters, Lucy Marks and Alice Huval, both of Cecilia; seven grandchildren, Jamie Lanclos, Kenny Lanclos, Emily Lanclos, Sara Romero, Jason Berard, Maggie Berard, and Zachary Arnaud Carroll; and three great grandchildren, Damon Edward Lanclos, Daniel Joseph Lanclos and Layton Cole Berard. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Arnaud, Jr.; his parents, Hermine H. and Leo Arnaud; two brothers, Howard Arnaud of Cecilia and Henry Arnaud of Lafayette; and two sisters, Leona and Clarice Huval, both of Cecilia. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday Pallbearers will be Nolan Guidry, Leland Guidry, Newton Guidry, Harris Guidry, Jason Berard, and David Huval. Honorary pallbearers will be his three great grandchildren, Damon Edward Lanclos, Daniel Joseph Lanclos and Layton Cole Berard, and his brother-in-law, Allen Guidry. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for the care they provided to him during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Ste., 200, Lafayette, LA 70503. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
