New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Ervin Paul LaCombe, 77, who died Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Houma. Entombment will follow in the Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Born on December 20, 1934 in Avoyelles Parish, he was the owner of Paul LaCombe Inspection Service. Mr. LaCombe enjoyed woodworking, remodeling houses, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Borel LaCombe of New Iberia; son, Randy Paul LaCombe of Corpus Christi; daughters, Ramona LaCombe of Opelousas, Susan Hebert and husband Shane of Leonville, Susan Koopman and husband Billy of Scottsboro, Alabama; brother, Daniel LaCombe and wife Ruth of Bunkie; sisters, Ina Veillon and husband Ronnie of Baton Rouge, Audrey Turner of Baton Rouge, Earline Moras and husband Gerald of Marksville; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Lillian Bernard LaCombe; son, Cody LaCombe; brother, Sylvan LaCombe, Jr.; grandson, Myles Sebastian. Pallbearers include Ross Hebert, Lance Hebert, Billy Koopman, Derek LaCombe, Brandon Bienvenu, and Brian Borel.
