Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, for Eugene Robin, 79, who passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville from 7:00 am until time of service on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Thursday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kelly Guidroz and Cain Doucet. Gift Bearer will be Ashton Doucet. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Mr. Robin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He cherished moments spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His favorite holiday was Christmas, because all of his relatives would come over to his house. Mr. Robin was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Brasseaux Robin; sons, Dale Robin of Port Barre and Glen Robin of Leonville; daughter, Denise Doucet of Leonville; brother, Curley Robin and wife Elder of Port Barre; sister, Bernice Eusay of Arnaudville; grandchildren, Kelly Guidroz, Robert Jules Stelly, Shantelle Howell, Jules Robin, Cain Doucet, Ashton Doucet, Gibson Guidroz, and Gracelyn Robin; and a great grandson, Storm Howell. He was preceded in death by parents, Jules and Bridget Artigue Robin; his brothers, Clarence Robin, Harold Robin, and Leroy Robin; sisters, Germaine Mayer and Joyce Stelly; and his daughter-in-law, Linda Robin. Pallbearers will be Jules Robin, Cain Doucet, Dale Robin, Glen Robin, Butch LeBlanc, and Buddy Daigle. Honorary pallbearer will be Beau Guidroz.
