Eugene Suire, Jr.
New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Eugene Suire, Jr., 81, who passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on Monday.
A rosary, led by the Nativity Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 am on Monday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Officiant.
Entombment will follow at Nativity of Our Lady Cemetery in New Iberia.
Eugene Suire, Jr. was born in Erath, Louisiana on April 30, 1938 to the late Inez Babin Suire and Eugene Suire Sr. He was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, and loved cooking, camping, shooting pool, gardening, music and dancing. Mr. Suire was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Mr. Suire is survived by daughters, Kathy Segura and husband Kenneth of New Iberia, Leila Suire and companion, David Colson of New Iberia, Annette Lavergne and husband William of Sunset; sons, Daniel Suire of New Iberia, Dwayne Suire of New Iberia; a brother, Michael Suire of Delcambre; grandchildren, Drew Suire, Damon Suire, Brandon Segura, Hope Segura, Amy Segura, Heidi Colson, Richard Suire, Erica Charpentier, Zachary Lavergne; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joyce Suire; his companion of 12 years, Utha Romero; and siblings, David Suire, Leila Suire, Mary Alice Vallot, Leanna Suire, and Carol Ponville.
Pallbearers will be Damon Suire, Richard Suire, Zachary Lavergne, Jace Segura, Brandon Segura and Micah Charpentier.
Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Suire, Dwayne Suire.
