Felicianne Calais

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Felicianne "Snook" Guidry Calais, 92, who died Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Douglas Courville will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Calais was a member of the St. Joseph Church Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne C. Huval and her husband, Paul of DeQuincy; three sisters, Jeanne Dupuis, Elaine Huval, and Barbara Frey, all of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Lisa Coats, Tina Calais, Jude Huval, Greg Huval, Tim Huval and Ben Huval; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Calais; her parents, Robert and Amelie Dupuis Guidry; her brothers, Paul, Willis, Jules and Percy Guidry; and her sister, Gladys Darby. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. on Friday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited by her grandchildren at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and a rosary of chaplet of divine mercy will be recited at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jude Huval, Greg Huval, Tim Huval, Ben Huval, Garrett Calais and Ronnie Calais. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Huval, Grant Calais and Morris Coats. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
