St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. , on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Felton Joseph Wiltz, 57, who passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Fr. Augustinus Seran, SVD, will officiate at the funeral service. An avid outdoorsman, Felton enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, Zydeco dancing, and riding his motorcycle. He thoroughly enjoyed an occasional 'sweet treat' of Blue Bell ice cream. Felton was known by many to be a long-winded conversationalist. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and was one to always put everyone elses needs before his own. Felton was a member of the Triple O Riders. Survivors include his mother, Melvina Wiltz; one son, Byron Wiltz; two brothers, Lincoln Wiltz, Jr. and Alvin John Wiltz and wife, Maxine; five sisters, Minister Eleria Barber and husband, Carroll, Linda Neveu, Evelyn Bourdeau and husband, Edward, Ruby Pierre and husband, James, and Antonia Alexander and husband, Paul; two grandchildren, Brionna Wiltz and Destiny Stewart; and a special friend, Barbara Robertson. He was preceded in death by his father, Lincoln Wiltz, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Carl Neveu; his godfather, Charles Wiltz; a niece and nephew; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Roland James, David James, Carlin James, Anthony Taylor, Jamal James, and Bronell Savoy, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Lincoln Wiltz, Jr., Alvin Wiltz, William Guidry, Sr., Anthony Stewart, Terry Jones, and Warren Etienne.
