Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Genevieve Hebert, 84, who passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at River Oaks Retirement Manor.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 11:00 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Saturday.
Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the Funeral Service.
Genevieve was a loving and caring soul to everyone she knew. She loved traveling, going to the casinos, painting, shopping, and working in her yard. She was a football fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. She belonged to a local rosary group and will be remembered for her faith and love for God.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Renella, Marelle, Dave, Patsy, Debbie, Charles, Florence, Melinda, Gail, Tammy, Sherry, Vickie, Raymond, Timothy and Denise; and a great nephew, Luke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andes and Ida BegnaudTauzin; husband, Russell Hebert; three sisters, Audrey Hardy, Lucy Pentz, and Louise Broussard; three brothers, Ernest Charles Tauzin, Sr., Chester Tauzin, and Ronald Tauzin; niece, Jean Nell Breaux; and nephews, Reggie Hardy, Aaron Tauzin, and Paul Tauzin.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff for the care and compassion that was given during her stay at River Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette.
