Gloria Plessala

Loreauville - Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, for Gloria Agnes Plessala , 82, who passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Dauterive Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday and continue at 8:00 am until 10:15 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Paul Onuegbe will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Elizabeth Delahoussaye and Lauren Plessala. Gift Bearers will be Sunni Palermo, Hollie Champman, and Candi Plessala. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. Mrs. Gloria enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being a loving mentor, and traveling the countryside. She was a very giving, forgiving, loving person, and was always there when you needed her. She is survived by her husband Erne Plessala Sr.; three daughters, Elizabeth "Zob" Plessala Munnerlyn and husband David of New Iberia, Rox Anna "Roxie" Plessala Dugas of New Iberia, Shannon Marie "Sissy" Plessala of Loreauville; two sons, Erne John "Nub" Plessala Jr. and companion Mitzi of Marshfield Plantation and Carl Paul "Skinner" Plessala and companion Janet of Mississippi; one sister, Mary Webb of Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Olivia Dartez Louviere and Eddie Louviere; eight siblings, Marie Dupuis, Electa Stroud, Bella Toups,Yvonne Segura, Goldie Viator, Oliver Louviere, Freddie Louviere, and infant brother, Warren Louviere, two son in laws, Dale Dugas Sr. and Karl Courrege; and daughter in law, Elaine Gardemal Plessala. Pallbearers will be Glenn Delahoussaye, Dale Dugas Jr, Israel Plessala, Michael Courrege, Christopher Plessala, and Gerald Stroud. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Plessala, David Munnerlyn, Ricky Viator, Doyle Provost, B-Boy Dugas, Nicholas Chapman, and Kim Stroud.
