Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2008, ?at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, in Abbeville for Henry Louis Migues, 65, who died Friday, May 16, 2008 at his residence in Erath. Interment will follow in the Mire Cemetery, near Kaplan. Rev. Gregory Chauvin will be the Celebrant. Verly Duplantis will proclaim the readings. Gift Bearers include Trevor Johnson and Deyton Migues. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Erath, Mr. Migues worked for Texaco with over 36 years of service, and was the owner of Advanced Inspection Technical Services, Inc. An avid horseman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Vietnam War in the Navy Seals. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Mire Migues of Erath; sons, Ray Migues and wife Mary of Vinton, Cecil Migues and fianc?e, Jessica Clark of Lafayette; daughters, Tara Sonnier and husband David of Youngsville, Ronda Vice and husband Patrick of Erath; brothers, Paul Migues and wife Hazel of Groves, James Migues and wife Ruby of New Iberia; sisters, Mildred Lopez of Lydia, Rita Eskind and husband Wilbert of Jeanerette, Hazel Prince and husband Norbert of Jeanerette; grandchildren, Amanda Migues, Derrek Migues, Bradley Migues, Garrett Migues, Rhett Migues, Alieah Migues, Trevor Johnson, Blake Sonnier, Kristie Sonnier, Deyton Migues, Michael Vice, Dylan Vice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Virginia Comeaux Migues; brothers and sisters, Clifton ""Kit"" Migues, Curley Migues, Harry Migues, Janelle Migues, Margaret Migues, Janelle, Jules and Jean; wife?s parents, Willie Mae Duplantis and Genines Mire. Pallbearers will be David Sonnier, Patrick Vice, Andrew Migues, Glenn Eskind, Jacob Prince, and Danny Migues. Honorary pallbearers will be Derrek Migues, Bradley Migues, Garrett Migues, Rhett Migues, Trevor Johnson, Blake Sonnier, Deyton Migues, Paul Migues, James Migues, Wayne Louviere, and Norbert Prince. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, from 11:30 AM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia, until 10:00 AM Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Sunday. The family would like to extend special thanks to Bobbi, Eleanor and all of the staff of Journey Hospice for their extraordinary care and support.
