New Iberia - Graveside services will be at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Beau Pre' Cemetery in Jeanerette, for Homer E. Sanderford, Jr, 79, who passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 in New Iberia. Survivors include his wife, Alice A. Sanderford of New Iberia; daughters, Jo Ann Leleux and husband Billy of New Iberia, Darlene LeBlanc and husband Johnny of New Iberia, Beth Turner and husband Darrel of New Iberia; daughter in law, Sandra Burrell; brother, Frank Sanderford of Los Angles, CA; sister, Helen Parker of Collins, MS; 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Edward Sanderford, Sr. and Ida Gene Corley Sanderford; son, Eddie Dale Burrell; brother, Lewis Sanderford; sister, Edwina Sanderford; 4 grandchildren, Jason, Eddie, Waylon, and Holly Burrell; and 2 great grandchildren, Damien Burrell and Holly McDonald. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 9:30 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. To all those he loved and who loved him.I viewed the most beautiful video just now....meaningful, well selected pictures.the beauty and love within those pictures was truly moving.Our hearts sincerely go out to you,as Brien and I have both lost our fathers.my mother also.How does one continue afterward,except for a beautiful thing called 'Grace'.There is 'strength' in God's Grace and He will carry all of you through this painful loss.Please know that our hearts and prayers remain with you all.Mrs. Alice, Brien and I wish you the very best.Trust the Lord to make it through this.He will take care of you...Love,Dianna and Brien

Alice just remember Homer will always be with you, cause he lives in your heart and in all the memories you have shared.Now hes your guardian angel who watches over you.God bless you and your family thru this hard time. We had some good times with you and Homer,at James house, the goodtimes will stay with all of us.He will me missed.

Darlene I am deeply sorry for you and your family's lost. I never met your dad but he was truely blessed to have you and whomever else take part in his care. I know it's hard but just know that God has all of you in His hands, carrying you through this difficult time. My deepest condolences to you and the family.
