Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. , on Monday, September 26, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Howard James Taylor, 61, who passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at M.D. Anderson Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Rev. Brian Taylor will officiate at the funeral Mass. Con-Celebrant will be Rev. Bill Ruskoski and Rev. Gary Schexnayder. Most Rev. Michael Jarrell Bishop of Lafayette will be in attendance. Scriptures will be read by John Ray Taylor and Wesley Hebert. Gift Bearers will be Tara Richard, Sara Taylor, Nancy Taylor, Melissa Taylor, Jillian Richard Andria Nadia and Ava Taylor. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Howard served in the U S Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Vallero after 20 years of service. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and especially his grand kids. He was a loving husband, daddy and pop pop. Survivors include his wife, Vicki Callandret Taylor of Arnaudville; his sons, Rev. Brian James Taylor, Lyle Taylor and his wife, Sara Forsse of Arnaudville, Kyle Taylor and his wife, Nancy Hatton of Arnaudville, and Jonah Taylor and his wife, Melissa Vannice of Salt Lake City; his daughter, Tara Richard and her husband, Adam Richard of Arnaudville; honorary step son, Blane Matherne; four brothers, Wilfred Taylor and his wife, Maria of Seguin, TX, John Ray Taylor and his wife, Cynthia of Arnaudville, Rogers Taylor and his wife, Gail of Abbeville, and Earl Taylor and his wife, Lynnie of Cecilia; five sisters, Mary Lou Hebert and her husband, Wesley of Cecilia, Margaret Menard of Judice, Merle Mouton and her husband, Richard of Lake Charles, Maddie Lalonde and her husband, Kevin of Arnaudville, and Maxine Lalonde and her husband, Reynoldo of Arnaudville; his brother in law, Nathan Callandret and his wife, Effie Ducote of Krotz Springs; his father in law, Edmond Callandret of Arnaudville; his grand children, Jillian Richard, Andria Richard, Nadia Richard, Aidan Richard, Ian Richard, and Ava Taylor; his step grandson, Caleb Landerno; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Monique Kai Taylor; his parents, Walter and Elia Frederick Taylor; his brother, Robert 'Bob' Taylor; his mother in law, Shirley Callandret, his brother in law, Robert Menard; and his sister in law, Linda Guidry Taylor. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a .m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8 a .m. until 10:30 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Lyle Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Jonah Taylor, Adam Richard, Nathan Callandret and Earl Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Aidan Richard, Ian Richard, Caleb Landerno, Wilfred Taylor, John Ray Taylor, and Rogers Taylor. Pellerin Funeral Home , 314 St .
