Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Breaux Bridge Pentecostal Church in Breaux Bridge for Jane Ortego, 75, who passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the church from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday. Pastor Jonathan Haygood will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Mrs. Jane was a member of Breaux Bridge Pentecostal Church. She loved cooking for family and friends, especially making homemade jelly. Jane enjoyed sewing, quilt making, and crocheting. She spent many days outdoors fishing, tending to flowers and gardening. She is survived by her loving spouse of 58 years, Roland Ortego of Arnaudville; son, Karl Ordoyne and wife Rhonda of Arnaudville; daughters, Cheryl Folse and husband Raymond of Thibodaux, Karen Descant and husband Eric of Hessmer, Cindy D’augereau and husband Allen of Breaux Bridge, and Rachel Leon and husband Tom of Carencro; sisters, Violet Samanie and husband Ted of Schriever, Francis Savoie and husband Fred of Schriever, Darlene Savoie and husband Lee of Schriever; grandchildren, Ericka Ordoyne, Anthony Ordoyne, Terrell Folse and spouse Sarah, Heidi Reulet and spouse Frank, Troy Folse and spouse Kelli, Derrick Descant and spouse Lakin, Miranda Morman and spouse Jacob, Jenae Eli and spouse Keith, Travis Tyler and spouse Shandi, Kandice Heredia and spouse Raniel, Kirkland Leon, Tommy Leon, Jason Daugereau and spouse April; 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Savoie; mother, Elizabeth Savoie-Davis; brothers, Norris Savoie and Harvey Savoie; sisters, Mary Savoie, Debra Savoie, and Gail Fields; great grandchild, Breanna Descant. Pallbearers will be Anthony Ordoyne, Terrell Folse, Troy Folse, Derrick Descant, Travis Tyler, Kirkland Leon, and Tommy Leon. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Savoie, Eddie Ortego, and David Ortego. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
