New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for John 'Johnny' Inzerella, 88, who died on Sunday, November 18, 2012, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Mark Derise, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Tuesday. ; Johnny was born on December 2, 1923, in St. Martinville, where he lived his earlier years. He moved to New Iberia after marrying Virginia Joyce 'Sue' Arceneaux on January 16, 1949. Johnny began his working career with The Hub, a clothing store located in New Iberia, as a salesman. He continued his career as a clothing salesman with Broussard & Viators Men and Boys Wear, and Abdallas, both located in New Iberia. He worked at this profession for a total of 50 years. During that span of fifty years he made hundreds of friends and acquaintances. One of his most admirable traits was his love for people. He was a 'perfectionist' at everything that he did and took great pride in serving his customers. Johnnys hobbies including gardening and growing various plants and trees. One of his hobbies in his earlier years was playing 'bouree' on weekends with his family members. However, his greatest pleasure was spending time with, providing for, and loving his family. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia Joyce 'Sue' Inzerella; son, Gregory Inzerella and wife Rachel Crochet Inzerella of New Iberia; daughter, Deborah 'Debbie' Inzerella Breaux and husband Daniel 'Turk' Breaux of New Iberia; grandchildren, Michelle Inzerella Keenan and husband Terry of Seattle, Washington, Todd Breaux and wife Brandi Viator Breaux of Lafayette, and Jed Inzerella and wife Anna Claire Hundley Inzerella of Lafayette; great grandchildren, Abigail Inzerella, Coleman Inzerella, Gavin Keenan, Grayson Keenan, and Marie Breaux. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Inzerella and Lena Milazzo Inzerella, as well as brothers, Tony Inzerella, Joe Inzerella, Santa 'Sonny' Inzerella, and sisters, Lena Inzerella Russo and Marie Inzerella DAnna. Pallbearers will Gregory Inzerella, Daniel 'Turk' Breaux, Kenric 'Kenny' Inzerella, Anthony Russo, Todd Breaux, and Jed Inzerella.
