Johnny Williams

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, September 20, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Johnny Williams, 59, who passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at his residence. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father James Fallon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kiana Davis and Mekell Lastrapes. Johnny worked for Folby Construction for 10 years, then later went to work at Breaux Bridge High School , as a custodian for 8 years. While working at the high school he bonded with the students and they grew to love and respect him. In his free time he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and playing baseball with the Chocolate City baseball team. He was a very selfless person, often giving of his time and energy to help anyone who was in need and never requested anything in return. Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae Williams of Breaux Bridge; one son, Johnny Castille, of Breaux Bridge; four daughters, Natasha, Latoya, and Markey Williams, all of Breaux Bridge, and Keashie Wells of Houston, TX; three brothers, Jessie Williams of Beaumont, TX, Alton Williams, Jr. and Gerald Williams, both of Breaux Bridge; three sisters, Mary Agnes Pete, Pauline Lambert, and Paula Williams, all of Breaux Bridge; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Mardes Joseph Williams; and two sisters, Shirley and Losia Williams. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7 a .m. until 10 a .m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Joseph Williams, Jr., Keymo, Felton, Kevin, and Cody Williams, and Jessie Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny, Joseph LaJohn, Joshua, Jaylon, and Javeuin Williams. The family would like to extend special thanks to Roxanne Williams, Nicole Lastrapes, Agnes Pete, and Pauline Lambert, for their constant care and compassion given to him during his time of need. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
