New Iberia ;- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2009 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Joyce Marie Bellot, 79, who died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in New Iberia. ; Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. ; Msgr. Richard Greene will be the Celebrant. ; Born on February 22, 1930, Mrs. Bellot worked for Stein's Superette and Echo Drive Inn. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, crawfishing, working crossword puzzles and most of all taking care of her family. ; Survivors include her husband, James Bellot of New Iberia; daughters, Cynthia Viator Mavrinac and husband Mark of Mandeville, Mary Ann Wilson of New Iberia, Debora Bellot Boudreaux of New Iberia; sons, Nathan Viator and wife Joselle Taylor Viator of New Iberia, Randy Dugas and wife Jane Lassalle Dugas of New Iberia, Glenn Michael Bellot and wife Shelia Copeland Bellot of Shreveport, James "Jimmy" Bellot, Jr. of New Iberia; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. ; She was preceded in death by her parents Lawless Capello and Ethel Menard; and a grandson, Justin Boudreaux. ; Memorial contributions may be made to the Miles Perret Center, P.O. Box 80763, Lafayette, LA. 70598. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 10:30 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday.
