Juanita Vass

New Iberia - Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia for Juanita Major Vass, 92, who passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in Lafayette. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 2:30 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A native of New Roads, Mrs. Vass was born on August 3, 1925 to the late Leroy and Bernice St. Dizier Major and was a longtime area resident. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Vass of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Shelli Signorelli, and Destin Richard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall B. Vass; and sisters, Bernice Gayle, Joyce Morgan, and Pheobe Jones. Pallbearers are Destin Richard, Marshall Jones, Keith "Buck" Morgan, John DuBose, Codi McGlawn, and Greg Dugas.
