Kern Gaudet

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Kern Joseph Gaudet, 42, who died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, in Coteau. Rev. Salvino ""Reuben"" Primor will be the Celebrant. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Kern enjoyed motorcycles, bike riding, fishing, and hunting. Survivors include his mother, Pearl Trahan and companion J.C. Breaux, IV of New Iberia; father, Jerry Gaudet and companion Betty Richard of Abbeville; grandparents, Elvar and Alena Maturin Trahan of New Iberia; sons, Zachary ""Zack"" Gaudet of New Iberia, Mason Gaudet of Carencro, Tyler Gaudet of Texas; daughter, Amber Gaudet of Arnaudville; brothers, Calvin Gaudet of Abbeville, Richard Gaudet and wife Tonia of Humble, TX; sister, Debbie Gaudet Miguez of New Iberia; nieces and nephews, Nicole Gaudet McMullen and husband Keith, Kim Gaudet Meyers and husband Brian, Holly Gaudet Gary and husband Murphy, Shauna Miguez Estis, Laci Miguez and companion Eric Cooper, Matt Miguez and companion Heather Latiolais, Jake Miguez, Brooks Hebert, Alexis Gaudet, Taryn Gaudet; great nieces and great nephews, C.J., Dusty, Nicholas, Brayton, Katie, Abbey, MacKenzie, Lane, Talyn, and Elleyana. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas Gaudet and Vera Pellerin; uncle and aunt, Johnny and Gail Gaudet. Pallbearers will be Calvin Gaudet, Richard Gaudet, Matt Miguez, Jake Miguez, Brian Meyers, and Murphy Gary. Honorary pallbearers are Zack Gaudet and Dusty Meyers. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 3:30 PM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday.
