Louisa - ;Funeral services will be held ;at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 16, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Louisa for, Kinh Vu Nguyen, 59, who died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at his residence.Rev. Thomas Thanh Nguyen will be the celebrant for the mass. Readers will be Jaymie Hanh Nguyen and Lee Nguyen. Gift bearers will be Taylor Tram Huyen Nguyen, Andy Nguyen and Nikki Nhi Nguyen.Born on January 6, 1951 in Saigon, Vietnam to Tien Vu Nguyen and Hoa Thi Bui, Kinh proudly served in the Air Force during Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He worked for Rohm and Haas for many years and was devoted to his church, both faithfully and as a server, to help in any way he could. His hobbies included hunting, watching movies and reading, especially history and politics.Survivors include his wife, Lan Thi Vu, of Louisa; his daughters, Taylor Tram Huyen Nguyen of Houston, Jaymie Hanh Nguyen, Nikki Nhi Nguyen; his sons, Alec Trong Vu Nguyen and Andy Nguyen, all of Pflugerville, TX; and his sister, Nu Thi Nguyen.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Canh Vu Nguyen and Khanh Vu Nguyen.Pallbearers will be Jerry Vu, Hoai Vu, Huy Vu, Steven Nguyen, Michael Nguyen and Khanh Nguyen.A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a mass being held at 6:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
