Larry Melancon Jr.

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Larry L. Melancon, Jr, 37, who died Sunday, June 25, 2006. Interment will be in All Saint's Cemetery in Loreauville. Larry loved the outdoors especially fishing, boat riding, and building things. ?He loved being with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Susan Crochet Melancon; his son, Logan Steven Melancon; his daughter, Chassidy Rae Melancon, all of Loreauville; his parents, Larry Melancon, Sr. and Mazel Vicknair Melancon; his grandmother, Theresa Escoyne Lasseigne of Catahoula; his brothers, Robin and Rammie Melancon of Catahoula; his sisters, Francine M. Allemond of Henderson and Rachael M. Champagne of St. Martinville. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nicole Melancon; grandparents, Hazel and Louis Melancon; grandfather, Leroy Vicknair; great-grandmother, Jeanne Escoyne; great-grandparents, Louis and Lillian Melancon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am Tuesday, June 27, 2006 and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Kim Allemond, Johnny Champagne, Sye Melancon, Rammie Melancon, Johnathon Champagne, Jr., and Tommy Crochet. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Melancon, Terry Paul, Mike Morvant, Troy Morvant, Willie Morvant, Austin McNew, Robin Melancon, Jesse Melancon, Denny Robin, Kyle McNew, Logan Melancon, Larry Melancon, Sr. and Jason Durand. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements

TO HIS WIFE,KIDS AND FAMILY,U ALL HAVE MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY.IT'S BEEN A WHILE I HADN'T SAW LIL LARRY, BUT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM DRIVING THAT LIL TRUCK HE HAD BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT COLOR IT WAS,SO U KNOW THATS BEEN A WHILE BACK.WE WILL MISS LARRY CAUSE HE ALWAYS MADE EVERYONE LAUGH, U KNOW LARRY WITH HIS CRAZY SELF HE WAS ALWAYS CUTTIN UP.
