Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. , on Monday, September 27, 2010 , at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Lavina Guidry Ray, 90, who passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at St. Martin Hospital . Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Readers will be Lexi Patin and Karla Stelly. Gift Bearer will be Gena Landry Purpera. Lavina was a past member of the St. Martin Parish Homemakers Club. She enjoyed their yearly trips. She loved playing cards, pokeno and gardening. Her family was first and foremost the most important love of her life. Survivors include her sons, William Ray, and his wife, Patsy Latiolais of Cecilia, Patrick Ray and his wife, Patti Dial of Mississippi, and Jack Ray and his wife, Karen Rivette of Arnaudville; her daughters, Joyce Barras and her husband, George of St. Martinville, Renella Landry and her husband, Gene of Breaux Bridge, Sally Huval of Cecilia, and Jennifer Patin and her husband, Keith of Cecilia; her brother, Stanley Guidry of Breaux Bridge; her 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Germaine Angelle Guidry; her husband, Lloyd Ray; her daughter, Janis Fruge; her brothers, Edwin Guidry, Roy Guidry and Jessie Guidry; her sister, Fabiola Yunis Trosclair; and her son in law, Thomas Huval. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010 .
