Arnaudville - Leroy Edward 'Roy' Neal, born January 29, 1938, a native of Arbutus, Maryland, and longtime resident of Leonville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home in Toledo Bend, on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Chapel in Arnaudville, with Rev. Mark Bend officiating. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:30 pm until 11:00 pm on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 9:45 am. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Roy was a loving father, grandfather, and companion, who greatly enjoyed large gatherings of family and friends. He was always happiest when visited by the ones who loved him, which were many. He enjoyed the simple life and being outdoors. He loved his dog, Annie, cooking, fishing, listening to music, relaxing, and talking about old times. Roy will be greatly missed forever, but never forgotten. He leaves behind to mourn his passing, five sons, Roy Neal, Ross (Michelle) Neal of FL, Steven Neal of Brooklyn, MD, Eric Neal of Arnaudville, Shane (fiance Dana Gauthier) Neal of Breaux Bridge; and daughter, Sherry Osborne of Seattle, WA; his loving companion, Darlene Langley of Florien, LA; his brother, Gary Robert Daniel Neal of Glenburnie, MD; his sister, Sally Ann (Louis) Schmitz of Millersville, MD; his niece, Vanessa McDaniel; and three grandchildren, Skyla Aucoin, Matthew Neal, and Michael Neal. He is preceded in death by his father, James Edward Neal Jr.; his mother, Helen Glanzer Neal; and a sister, Betty Lou Adkins.
