Linda Guidry Romero

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Linda Guidry Romero, 69, who passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 am Tuesday. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Romero was born on July 4, 1949 to the late John and Odette Cormier Guidry. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Romero and companion Robert Taylor of New Iberia; son, Todd Romero of New Iberia; brothers, Johnny Guidry and wife Macklyn of Parks, Eddie Guidry and wife Mary of Parks; grandchildren, Brooke Stansbury and husband Cody, Braylin Fontenot, Tylon Romero, and Kaegan Romero; great grandchildren, Kohen Stansbury and Rhett Stansbury. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Romero. Pallbearers are Cody Stansbury, Ken Guidry, Brandon Guidry, Jason Guidry, Nicholas Guidry and Brent Romero. Honorary pallbearers are Kohen Stansbury and Zane Frederick. Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, New Iberia, LA 70560, (337-365-3331), is in charge of arrangements.
