Mary Robicheaux Broussard

New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Mary Robicheaux Broussard, 68, who passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 in Hammond. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Ms. Broussard was born on September 20, 1952 to the late Theogene Robicheaux, Sr. and Anna Mae Leonard Robicheaux. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she dearly loved. She is survived by her sons, Dustin Savoie (Kayla) of Alexandria, Wesley Savoie (Claudia) of New Iberia, Paul Savoie (Anissa) of New Iberia, and Brian Savoie (Vanessa) of New Iberia; daughter, Kristion Savoie of New Iberia; brothers, David Robicheaux of New Iberia, and Nolan Robicheaux (Darlene) of New Iberia; sister, Shirley Savoie of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 10 step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Robicheaux, and Theogene Robicheaux, Jr.; a sister, Ruby Myers; and her husband, Wesley Savoie, Sr. Pallbearers will be Blake Savoie, Paul Savoie Jr., Lanie Savoie, Ronald Myers Jr., Destry Savoie, Chance Guillory, David Robicheaux, and Jorge Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers include Kylee Savoie, Chasity Dore, Jasmine Hernandez, Taylor Savoie, Alexis Savoie, Kaitlyn Savoie, and Roberta Savoie.
