New Iberia - A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at St. Marcellus Catholic Church for Mona Seaux, 61. Entombment will follow at St. Marcellus Mausoleum. Reverend Donovan Labbe will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?Music will be provided by Billy Sue Kramer. ?Musical selections will include, ""Do You Know That I Love You"", by Mike Broussard. Mona was born on July 12, 1946 and went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 9:38 a.m. at University Medical Center, where she was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mona's mission in life was to be a caregiver. ?She enjoyed caring for those who were handicapped and the elderly, anyone's children, or anyone else who needed her, whether they be family or friends. ?She cherished her family and friends and devoted her life to serving God, studying God's word and praying for others. ?Mona loved to cook and everyone enjoyed her cooking and her baking as well. She is survived by her loving husband - her soul mate of 43 years, Dennis Seaux; her children, Denny Seaux his wife, Raechel, Senette Weger her husband, Damon, and Troy Seaux his wife, Angela; also her grandchildren, Seth Weger, Dylan Weger, Madisen Seaux, Kaitlyn Seaux, Alexis Seaux, Melody Seaux, and Jace Weger; her sisters, Mrs. Marshall (Patsy) Waguespack, Mrs. Danny (Joy) Babineaux, Mrs. Steve (Terry) Lopez, Mrs. Casey (Tina) Derouen, Mrs. Troy (Jan) Gessner; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. ?She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Leah Seaux; her brother-in-law, Wilton Seaux and his wife, Ann; her sister-in-law, Gloria Hebert and her husband, Craig; and her stepfather, Daniel Pellerin. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Amar Moore, and Bea Moore Pellerin; and her father-in-law, Willie Seaux. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., in New Iberia, from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday; and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Theo Landry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Denny Seaux, Troy Seaux, Damon Weger, Seth Weger, Dylan Weger, and Corey Babineaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Jace Weger Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
