Penny Daigle

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Penny Bourque Daigle, 45, who passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Shonna Broussard will be the reader for the service. Gift bearers will be Jade Landry and Valerire Broussard. Penny enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, fishing, most of all spending time with her family. She was an avid bingo player. She was a past member of the American Legion. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. Survivors include her mother, Janice Bourque of Breaux Bridge; her husband, Steve Daigle of Lafayette; her sons, Dustin Bourque of Breaux Bridge, Kevin Daigle of Lafayette and Shane Daigle of Clarksville, TN; her daughters, Dana Daigle of Clarksville, TN and Crystal Daigle of Houston, TX; her brother, Nicky Bourque of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Sheila Breaux of New Iberia and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Calvin Bourque; her brother, Calvin Bourque, Jr. and her sister, Valerie Bourque. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m on Monday. Pallbearers will be Nicky Bourque, Dustin Bourque, Nicky Bourque, Jr., Matthew Bourque, Shane Daigle and Kevin Daigle. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Daigle. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.

PENNY WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST FRIEND ANYONE COULD EVER HAVE. SHE ALWAYS MADE YOU FEEL HAPPY WHEN SHE WAS AROUND. SHE SO LOVED LIFE AND ALL HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS, EVEN STRANGERS. Dearest Ms. Penny, I wish I had the chance to say good-bye. I've been so busy, that I didn't get the chance to visit as much as I used to. I loved hearing you on the radio and miss the way you always looked after Trey and I. You were a great friend. I miss truely miss you. Steve, I am so sorry for your loss! I know that you are grieving, Just know that in time your tears will dry up ( I lost a sister and a brother and it was a lot of tears when they died, and now when I think of them I smile cause of all the good times we had together) so just know that time heals all wounds. My prayers go out to you and all of your family and Penny's family! God Be With You....
