Pierre Hebert

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Pierre Hebert, 65, who passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will conduct the services. Survivors include his best friend, Sonny Poirier of New Iberia; his son, Ernest Hebert of Alexandria; his daughters, Tina Hebert of St. Martinville, Denise Hebert of Opelousas, Shelia Hebert of Sunset, Mary Hebert of Sunset and Angel Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; his brothers, Leus Hebert, Sr., Wilson Hebert of Loreauville, Louis Hebert of St. Martinville and Bernard Hebert of Loreauville; his sisters, Mary Hebert of Port Barre, Celestine Hebert of St. Martinville and Marie H. Champagne of Coteau; and his 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Marie Sonnier Hebert; his sister, Stephanie Hebert; his brothers, Leveis and Alexson Hebert. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2009 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Ernest Hebert, Sonny Poirier, Ivy Hebert, Dinky Hebert, Peanut Hebert, and Brent Poirier. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
