New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Robert Louis 'Man' Fusilier, 72 who died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native of New Iberia, Mr. Fusilier was born on July 29, 1940 to Junius and Irma Gardner Fusilier. He worked in the oilfield for many years, and the Houston Chronicle, and was a member of the Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Curley of New Iberia, and Evelyn Conway and husband Junius of New Iberia; sisters, Olivia Doucette of New Iberia, Jessie Guillory Fusilier of New Iberia, Linda Fusilier Robinson and husband Dennis of Boston, MA, Marjorie Thornton and husband James of Houston, Clara Fusilier Koepp of New Iberia; 36 grandchildren, ;15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Doucette; a daughter, Cynthia Roberts; granddaughter, DeShella Lynette Conway Shaw; great grandson, Dadario; and a sister, Shirley Harris.
