Sally Miller

Cecilia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Sally Berard Miller, 68, who passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:00 am until 1:45 pm on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Teri Ann Arnaud, Keri Ann Taylor, and Kimberly Michelle Miller. Gift Bearers will be Chloe Alysee Miller, Braeden Matthew Miller, and Kimberly Michelle Miller. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Sally was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and selflessly volunteered her time with the church to assist in various functions and activities. In her free time she enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, working in her garden, crossword puzzles, and having lunch with her classmates of the Cecilia High School Class of 1962. Sally looked forward to visiting with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who never complained about anything in life and always had a smile on her face - a smile that brought joy to the lives of everyone she loved. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Leonce Miller of Cecilia; two sons, Kirk James Miller of Lafayette and Robert Earl Miller of Cecilia; two brothers, Ned Paul (Nita) Berard of Henderson and Peter Joseph (Leslie) Berard of Duson; her sister, Marian B. Latiolais of Catahoula; and 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Michelle Miller of Lafayette, and Braeden Matthew Miller and Chloe Alysee Miller, both of Loreauville. She is preceded in death by her father, Bennett Berard, mother, Zita Berard; her brother, Tim Berard; and her brother-in-law, Billy Latiolais. Pallbearers will be Kirk James Miller, Robert Earl Miller, Guy Ellis Escoyne, Peter J. Berard, Richard J. Latiolais, and Neil Kennison, Honorary Pallbearers will be Braeden Matthew Miller, Mitchell Shane Miller, Ned Paul Berard, Darrell Escoyne, and Jason Escoyne.
