Stacy Sewell

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, for Stacy Wade Sewell, 38, who died on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Texarkana, Texas, as a result of a hunting accident. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Msgr. Richard Greene will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:15PM. Born on January 31, 1974, Stacy was raised in Lewisville, Arkansas, and proudly served our country in the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, college football, and going back to his home place in Arkansas, however his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his daughters. Survivors include his wife, Stacie Robichaux Sewell of New Iberia; daughters, Janie LeeAnn Sewell and Edith Glenn Sewell, both of New Iberia; father, Neal Sewell and wife Michelle, of Lewisville, Arkansas; mother, Ronda Viles of Wake Village, Texas; brother, Shelby Sewell and wife Courtney, and their children, Lily, Abby, and William, of Texarkana, Texas; wifes parents, Glenn and Judy Robichaux of New Iberia; wifes grandparents, Abdon and Edith Boutte of New Iberia; brother-in-law, Joey Robichaux and wife Robin, and their daughter, Emilee of New Iberia; and several cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lynn William Sewell, LulaBelle Ivers Sewell, and Ernest and Thelma Viles. Pallbearers will be Dennis Sewell, Danny Sewell, David Sewell, Shelby Sewell, Karl Hellinger, Todd Anderson, and Joey Robichaux. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to a special account that is being established at Regions Bank for Stacys daughters.
