New Iberia - Private graveside services were held for Steven LaPorte, 68, who passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015, in New Iberia. A native of Jeanerette and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. LaPorte was born on December 19, 1946 to Chester "Russel" and Josephine Genusso LaPorte. He was the owner of LaPorte Auto Repair and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Paulette Alcina LaPorte of New Iberia; daughter, Heather LaPorte of New Iberia; and a brother, Sammy LaPorte of New Iberia.
