Rynella - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella, for Warren Joseph Adams, 75, who died Monday, July 16, 2012 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Rev. Eugene Tremie will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM atPellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Wednesday. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. Born on November 5, 1936, Mr. Adams retired from the U.S. Navy after proudly serving our country for over 20 years, including tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed gardening, collecting guns, building things, watching military programs, and helping others. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Moore Adams of Rynella; son, Warren Joseph Adams, Jr. of Centerville; daughters, Julie Adams Barbin and husband David of Covington, Donna Adams Graham of Laurel, MS; brother, Morris Adams, Jr., and wife Janice of Franklin; sisters, Emily Austin of Charlotte, NC, Joetta Williford and husband Benny of Humble, TX, Susie Motrichek and husband John of Madisonville, Daisy Miller of Reno, NV, Janet Ballard and husband Lloyd of Humble, TX, Molly Womack and husband Ed of Carencro, Faye Adams of Houston; foster brother, Calvin Washispack of New Iberia; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Adams, and Henrietta Carpenter; foster parents, Elase and Delta Washispack; brothers, Atlas Adams, Alcie Adams; and a sister, Lilly Mary Adams. Pallbearers will be Wilton Walker, David Barbin, Brandon Barbin, Nicholas Barbin, Al Graham, and Ben Barbin.
