Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Wilbert "Willie" LaLonde, 60, who passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Rev. Ed Degeyter will conduct the services. Reading for the service will be Mr. LaLonde's godchild, Melissa Bertrand. Gifts Bearers will be Lucas LaLonde and Taylor Dugas. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Thibodeaux LaLonde of Cypress Island; his three sons, Joshua Lalonde and his wife, Christy, of Breaux Bridge, Aaron Dugas, of Breaux Bridge and Lucas LaLonde, of Cypress Island; his two daughters, Brandy Landry and her husband, Toby, of Carencro, and Christine Benoit and her husband, Doug, of Lafayette; one brother, Wilfred LaLonde, of Breaux Bridge and two sisters, Geraldine "Dean" LaGrange, of Arnaudville, and Margie Latiolais and her husband, Gerald, of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Kennedy Landry, Mason Dugas, Taylor Dugas, Faith LaLonde and Kylee Garrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Regis and Pauline Devillier Lalonde; his infant brother, George Allen LaLonde; his brother, Leo LaLonde; and his sister, Elsie Sanders. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008 and continue at 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Aaron Dugas, Joshua LaLonde, Lucas LaLonde, Doug Benoit and Toby Landry. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
