A gathering of family and friends will be held for Leroy P. LeBlanc on Saturday June 28, 2014 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am with a service to follow. Mr LeBlanc passed away peacefully June 26, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on December 15, 1931at Bayou Petit Anse. He was 82 years old. He was a sugar cane farmer until he retired. You could find him at Dagos every morning for coffee and fellowship. Most mornings he made the coffee. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of New Iberia Softball Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by this wife of 60 years Rita G. LeBlanc. He is also survived by his daughter Mary Ellen Andrus and her husband Mike, his son Wayne P. LeBlanc and his wife Dianne, his granddaughters Erica Andrus and her companion Joshua LaCroix, Lindsay L. Chastant and her husband Jason, his grandson Jeremy P. LeBlanc and his companion Maxwell Jones, his step-granddaughter Misty LeBlanc and her son Brantley. He is survived by one brother Harold P. LeBlanc.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Azena LeBlanc, two sisters Marjorie (Maude) Broussard and Mary Briganti, one brother Walter LeBlanc.
