Adalyn Elisabeth Theriot

New Iberia – Funeral Services will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, for Adalyn Elisabeth Theriot, six weeks old, who passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. 

Pastor Gabriel Smith will officiate. 

Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. 

Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will resume Saturday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. 

Adalyn was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on July 22, 2024, to Peyton and Madison Border Theriot. Although her time on earth was short, Adalyn was a fighter, and she brought so much joy and touched so many lives. 

In addition to her parents, Adalyn is also survived by her fur siblings, Wren and Andy; paternal grandparents, Phillip and Aimee Theriot; maternal grandparents, Greg and Lanie Border; paternal great-grandmothers, Ann LaBiche and Peggy Theriot; aunt and uncle, Katie and Ryan Benoit; great aunts, Danielle Leger (Holland), Adele Platt (Andy), Jessica Smith (Dwayne), Jennifer Turner (Ryan), Margaret Landry (Donald), Lorrie Dupuis, Priscilla Broussard (Robert), and Annette Brady (Robert); great uncles, Chad LaBiche (Laura), and Dr. Michael Border (Patty); godfather, Kent Zerangue; and godmother, Franny Hernandez. 

She was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Daniel LaBiche and Hilman Theriot; maternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Percy Dupuis, and Mary Alice and William Border; and great-aunts, Darlene Deshotel and Patsy Dupuis. 

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana, especially Laura “Wolly,” Lauren, and Skyler; the doctors and nurses at Iberia Medical Center, especially Donna, Heidi, Terrilyn, Temika, Dr. Gwin, Dr. Eikel, and Tanya; the staffs at Women’s and Children’s PICU and Ochsner Medical Center; nurse Kari at Ochsner Medical Center; to everyone that prayed for Adalyn and her family and made donations; and to Food with Love. You are all angels on earth.
