Adies Devillier Sonnier

Henderson Funeral services will be held on at 10 am Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Adies Devillier Sonnier, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until time of service, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday Fr. Lawrence Abara will officiate at the funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Alexius S. Taylor and Gillian A. Sonnier. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Mrs. Sonnier loved caring and cooking for her family and friends. She was known to her grandkids as The Black Pot. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sonnier; three grandchildren, Alexius S. Taylor and husband, Tim, Gillian A. Sonnier, and Andrew L. Sonnier; and one great grandchild, Anaya M. Sonnier. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Evela Melancon Devillier; her husband, Andrew Sonnier; her daughter, Alice Sonnier; paternal grandparents, Ricardo and Elise Latiolais Devillier; and maternal grandparents, Arvillion and Alice Laviolette Melancon.
