Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Adley Joseph Johnson, 82, who passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Brian Webre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2, in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Johnson enjoyed gardening, duck hunting, and listening and dancing to Cajun music. He was a member of the Louisiana Animal Breeders Circuit. During his free time, he cherished moments spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Robin Johnson; sons, David Johnson and wife Sherry of Montgomery, AL, Mark Johnson of Scott, Adam Joseph Johnson and wife Tricia of Arnaudville, and William John Johnson of Lafayette; daughter, Ramona Clark of Lafayette; brother, Allen Johnson and wife Sue of Cecilia; sisters, Burcey Montet of Cecilia, Cecile Robin and husband Norman "Boy" of Henderson, Mary Lee Huval and husband Lennis "Chute" of Breaux Bridge, and Lydia Huval of Henderson; grandchildren, Renee Johnson, Rebecca Menard and husband Kyle, Allison Johnson, Sydn Johnson, Laura Johnson, Katherine Johnson, Stevi Johnson, Emily Johnson, and Jordan Johnson; and his great-grandchildren, Avery Breaux, Peyton Johnson, and Alexa Breaux. He was preceded in death by father, Whidley Adam Johnson; mother, Sadie LeBlanc Johnson; brothers, Andy Johnson and Lawrence Johnson; and a great grandchild, Ashton Breaux. Pallbearers will be David Johnson, William Johnson, Kyle Menard, Adam Johnson, Thomas Clark, and Ross Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Avery Breaux, Lane Kidder, Greg Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, and Alberie LeBlanc.
