Aimee Marie Borel was born on May 7, 1928 in Catahoula Cove to Dorsey and Laura Borel. Aimee and Abel Castille were married on August 5, 1948 at St. Martin de Tours Church in St. Martinville, where they made their home and raised 6 children. The family grew to include 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Aimee had several careers, but her talents were what made her who she was. In her younger years, she was a great seamstress making her 5 daughters clothing and also "sewing for out". In her midlife, Aimee, who was already a great cook and baker, became a master cake decorator and made countless beautiful wedding, birthday and special occasion cakes.

Aimee and her late husband, Abel, loved to spend time with family and friends they met over the years from their moving around all over south Louisiana because of Abel's work. They attended each and every grandchild's birthday parties, baptisms and weddings to which she, of course, brought the cakes.

Aimee was a member of Woodmen of the World, Perpetual Adoration and Catholic Daughters at St. Martin de Tours, as well as being a charter member of St. Theodore's Court in Moss Bluff, LA. She was also proud to be one of the first female school bus drivers in St. Martin Parish.

She is survived by her son, Avery Castille (Charlotte); daughters, Janina Savoy (Robert), Gale Bonin (Earl), Lecia Broussard (Ray) and Monica Hamlett (Joel); grandchildren, Melodie Talley (Kevin), Tiffanie Knott (Eric), Misty Parker, Alison Barras (Rob), Daniel Parker (Laci), Robert Savoy, Jr., Haley Dupuis (Dalton), Earl Bonin, Jr. (Tara), Hillary Savoy (Gerald), Abigail Thomas (Samuel), Abel-Paul Bonin (Alyson), Stevie Doucet (Darrell), Caleb Bonin, Paige Gallet (Glenn), Chelsi Walsh (Mark), Hunter Broussard (Briana), Trevor Hamlett (Courtney), Sarrah Boudreaux (Tanner), Cooper Castille and Peter Hamlett (Karli); 48 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren, with two on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Abel Castille; daughter, Aimee Ann Parker; grandchild, Jeremy Savoy; great-grandchild, Lola Huval; parents, Dorsey Borel, Jr. and Laura Boudreaux Borel; brothers, Louis Borel, Stanley Borel and Evrard Borel; and sisters, Aurelia Guidry, Mable Theriot, Martha Theriot, Ruby Bergeron and Laura Belanger.

Pallbearers will be Robert Savoy, Jr., Earl Bonin, Jr., Hunter Broussard, Cooper Castille, Trevor Hamlett and Peter Hamlett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Parker, Abel-Paul Bonin and Caleb Bonin.
