New Iberia Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Alex Ricks, 21, who died on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Born on November 18, 1991, Alex worked as an instrumentation technician for The A.C. Company in New Iberia. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, rebuilding mechanical things, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his son Bryson. Survivors include his mother, Debora Ricks and companion Jonathan Gibson of New Iberia; father, Sean Ricks and wife Annette of New Iberia; companion, Natalie Breaux and their son Bryson of New Iberia; grandparents, Gerald Jerry Williams of New Jersey, Carol Williams of New Jersey, Mary Breland and husband Terrell of New Iberia, Clyde Ricks of New Iberia; brothers, Warren Ricks and companion Stephanie of New Iberia, Andrew Ricks of New Iberia; sister, Allyson Ricks of New Iberia; niece, Lillian Ricks; nephew, Aidan Ricks; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
